Hello and thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my website! I hope you will find my site informative both in my own personal beliefs and in general health information.
I am a pro natural figure athlete and compete with various organizations. I am extremely proud to be a 100% natural athlete, no drugs or surgeries, yet lol.
I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin. I currently work in a hospital pathology laboratory. I am also an AFAA certified personal fitness trainer as well as a bodybuilding & figure state level judge in the bodybuilding, figure, fitness and modeling divisions.
I absolutely enjoy competing and do it because I love it. I relish the challenge and discipline involved in preparing for my shows. Competing allows me to set specific goals for myself and to follow through those goals. This carries over into other areas of my life in a very positive manner.
When the "figure" division became more popular about 6 years ago, I decided to enter my first competition in 2004. I realized that I was not getting any younger and wanted & needed a new focus for myself. I did it and earned my NGA pro card in 2005 and my WNBF pro card in 2006. What a great feeling of accomplishment!
I prefer to prepare for my competitions completely on my own. I have been a fitness and health enthusiast since high school and the preparation involved was not too difficult for me. I have been training since high school and fell in love with muscular physiques after watching the 1984 Ms Olympia bodybuilding competition but not overly muscular on both men and women. I was 14 years old then (wow!) and quickly joined a gym thereafter. I have been working out with weights and leading a healthy lifestyle ever since. I have fallen off track a few times but realized that type of lifestyle was simply not worth leading. I have had my share of let's say "fun" but do not regret any of my foolish choices. Those choices allowed me to realize what was really important in my life and do not regret any of my mistakes.
My philosophy in life is to live in balance. Balance in almost every aspect of my life...nutrition, exercise, money, friendships, family, recreation, education, spirit and in mind.
"Love, respect and be true to yourself...the rest will fall in place"
